Activate Apple CarPlay in your BMW with NBTEvo Pro Nav (iDrive 5 / 6 only). Enjoy a safer driving experience with CarPlay, which is capable of showing useful apps like Waze, Google Maps, Spotify, Apple Music and much more. Siri is also integrated within Carplay, to provide a more enhanced hands free experience.
If your BMW has a touch screen, you can use it to operate Carplay. Your iDrive controller is normally used to navigate your way around CarPlay.
Apple CarPlay looks even better when it takes up the entire screen. Being able to take advantage of your wide screen is amazing as it looks great and usability is a lot better. This can only be activated if your iDrive firmware starts with N, O, P, Q, R, S, U, V, W. CarPlay will take up the entire screen on your BMW. This does disable the split-screen functionality only when using Carplay.If you have software version starting with P, Q, R, S, U, V, W or X you can also get full screen CarPlay.

90% of cars have WiFi antenna but some car’s may require additional WiFi antenna to get the full functionality. We can provide this at extra cost. You can also buy this yourself after Carplay activation as WiFi antenna is plug and play.

Do I need any additional apps to make it work?
Nope, we've pre-installed the most popular streaming apps to the box for you. The Google Play store is accessible from the box to download any app if you wish.
Will this work on aftermarket CarPlay devices?
Yes, any Aftermarket CarPlay Device with a USB Port also works with The VMC Box.
How to watch Netflix from Apple CarPlay?
Simply download the Netflix app within the Google Play Store within the VMC device. Log into your account and start streaming your favorite shows.
How to play videos on CarPlay?
Turn your cars display screen into a smart TV using The VMC. Simply plug the VMC into your car's USB port and the regular CarPlay or Android Auto screen will be replaced with ours. Download any app and start streaming with The VMC Box.
Do I need to buy a Remote for my VMC?
No, you do not need to buy it but it definitely helps navigate the box more effectively. If you do not have touch screen in your vehicle, we strongly encourage you also buy a VMC Remote.
